The suspects for Jack the Ripper

Our first Jack the Ripper suspect were Carl Feigenbaum.

He was arrested for cutting Mrs. Juliana Hoffman's throat. After his execution, his lawyer, William Sanford Lawton claimed that he really is Jack the Ripper. Besides that, he has admitted that he has a huge hatred towards women and a desire to kill and mutilate them. 

He was suspected due to his occupation, a German merchant who sell all sorts of knives. Furthermore, he was visiting London every time Jack the Ripper look alike murder happened. He also bring a knife in his pockets everywhere he goes.  Some investigators claimed that he has a similar knife as the knife on the scene. He has no specific alibi that he was somewhere else, therefore he can be consider as Jack the Ripper.

However, after done a lot research about Jack the Ripper, we find out we need to search for more and we decided to change the suspects which is James Kelly. 

James Kelly

James Kelly is most likely Jack the Ripper because his modus operandi was similar. He was accused for murdering his wife by stabbing her on the neck. 

He was insane, that was proved by the superintendent of Broadmoor Asylum, Dr. W. Orange.

Kelly states, “the thing has been hard because of all kinds of ‘skank’” (a term he uses to refers to women of low moral character which is prostitute) and “I’ve been on the warpath since I left Broadmoor Asylum.” (They have been either angry or looking to get revenge on someone)- he admitted 40 years later, 1927 but no one would listen to him because the case was being closed. His hatred towards prostitutes began when his mother left him and became prostitute in order to survive. 

Besides that, Dr. Thomas Bond who was the British surgeon had explained about James Kelly's characteristics that match Jack the Ripper. Dr. Thomas has mentioned that the killer is not some one who knows about medical knowledge but he can be the person who knows about animal. Even though James Kelly is not a butcher but he works as an upholsterer. An upholsterer is someone who work with furniture. During that era, not everyone can be upholsterer. This is because an upholsterer need a very strong, accurate and defined knife skills. An upholsterer is also someone who deal with animals, this is because he has to choose the best leather in order to make a great furniture for his client. By dealing with animals, he has to remove the organs and the animal himself. Since, the mutilation of the Ripper's victim is precise in removing organs and focusing on throat, therefore I believed James Kelly is probably Jack the Ripper. To add on, James Kelly practiced being an upholsterer since age 13. So, he knew all the techniques and being experts in it and he applied a few upholsterer related job during his runaway from London.

Federick Abberline, the police officer who found out that all the canonical five there were grapes on them. So I believed, during that era, grapes represent wealthiness. In order for Kelly to show his wealthiness he use grapes to lure the prostitutes to a quiet place. How did he get rich? He was inherit 25,000 dollar by his mother. He will get all the money during his 25th birthday. During the mother, he was 28. So, he had all the money.

I keep on hearing the police have caught me but they wont fix me just yet. I have laughed when they look so clever and talk about being on the righttrack. That joke about Leather Apron gave me real fits. I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled. Grand work the last job was. I gave the lady no time to squeal. How can they catch me now. I love my work and want to start again. You will soon hear of me with my funny little games. I saved some of the proper red stuff in a ginger beer bottle over the last job to write with but it went thick like glue and I cant use it. Red ink is fit enough I hope ha. ha. The next job I do I shall clip the ladys ears off and send to the police officers just for jolly wouldn't you. Keep this letter back till I do a bit more work, then give it out straight. PS Wasnt good enough to post this before I got all the red ink off my hands curse it No luck yet. They say I'm a doctor now. ha ha

Kelly was laughing at the people who assume that he is a doctor. In fact he wanted to tell everyone that he is not a doctor. Through every letter he is sending a clue. His insanity strikes him that he actually want people to know about him.

It is very obvious that it was not written by literate person. Kelly didn't finish his study and as upholsterer he doesn't need to be very educated. Hence it shows. Add on, HELL is actually represent himself. You don't believe me? He had his identity number for the Brigade of American O-War which was 7734.

Clearly through the letter, he wanted the police to chase after him. "Catch me if you can."
